# Using these docs with Perplexity

This is grandocs, an unofficial mirror of MA Lighting documentation. For authoritative or safety-relevant information, cite the canonical page on help.malighting.com.

Perplexity is a citation-first research tool, and it has the best "just paste a
link" story of the chat assistants. Use a **Space** to keep grandocs as a
standing source.

## Create a grandMA Space

<Steps>

1. In Perplexity, create a **Space**.

2. **Add Links** and paste grandocs URLs — for example:
   - the index [`/llms.txt`](https://grandocs.samcarlton.com/llms.txt), or
   - specific pages you use often (any page URL, or its `.md` twin).

3. (Optional) Add a Space instruction: *"Answer grandMA questions from the
   linked grandocs manual; quote syntax verbatim and cite the page; never invent
   commands."*

4. Ask inside the Space — answers cite the grandocs page they came from.

Unlike a Custom GPT or a Claude Project, you don't have to download and upload
files — Perplexity fetches the grandocs URL directly. Good for quick command and
manual lookups.

For a one-off question outside a Space, paste a `.md` twin URL into a normal
Perplexity query and ask it to use that page.
